Preschool aged
animated series

This is an episode that I wrote for and was purchased by Aurora World Corp. and Hot Drop Films Ltd. My task was to create an 11-minute script that focussed on an interesting and relatively unknown animal that kids would be transfixed by in learning about. As a 2D animated series, the focus has been in providing educational programming centred around endangered species and their select habitats, all the while creating an exciting adventure, and a few laughs along the way.

  Pitch example:
This is a pitch that I wrote for the company that has yet to be purchased by Aurora World. The goal for every episode was to include action, humour, high-tension, and above all, education so that children could learn as they were being entertained. Most importantly, I and the other writers were to adhere to the YooHoo brand and write accordingly.
  Another Pitch...

These two are my favourites. I love to combine the idea of adventure, with knowledge. The thought of making kids laugh while they learn something is awesome to me. I hope to write more in the future if things go well.
   Short Film

This is a comedic, absurdist piece, designed to be under three minutes long. It is about a crafty teenaged girl who, obsessed by a pair of shoes, goes to great lengths to make them hers.
The Girl's determination is matched only be her endearing haplessness.

  Feature Film

Given the same name as his deceased Brother, a very young boy travels great distances in order to find his own identity.

These are the first ten pages of my Gothic Western, and there are many to follow. It is different from my usual writing, in that it tackles very serious issues. Violent and heartbreaking, it features a historic view of Canada from Alberta, to Ontario and Montreal in the late 1800s from the eyes of a child as he reaches adulthood.

Coming Soon

In the spirit of trying something new, I am currently working on a an hour length drama series. Based in Seattle 1994, it follows the employees of a residential women's clinic, and a family of pro-lifers whose headquarters are located directly across the street. Its tentative title is "The Property Line".
